Yukiko thought, but then where was Conan at the time? She decided not to ask that though, it was irrelevant.

"I can ask him the rest of the details when I get home," Yukiko nodded cheerfully. Besides, it was something that could've been discussed during dinner!

Yukiko giggled at Sonoko-chan's remark, in full agreement with her! She knew what was underneath the guise, and at times Yukiko wished that he didn't spend most of his time as Okiya Subaru. But she understood that it was necessary with his current situation.

With his FBI coworkers now knowledgeable about his whereabouts, Yukiko wondered just how long he'd be able to keep up the act. Would his coworkers be visiting him more often? What if the organization—

Yukiko trailed off in thought, refusing to continue to think about it further. She trusted Akai Shuichi absolutely!

"E-Eh? Shin-chan?" Yukiko asked when she heard Sonoko-chan's last remark. "Well, don't you remember? Conan-kun introduced all of us after his apartment burned down. I don't think Shin-chan's met Subaru-san in person though! Has Shin-chan come to visit lately?"

Yukiko then realized how long that they've been standing in front of the shoes for. "Say Sonoko-chan, are you interested in going to Starbucks? I saw one nearby! Maybe we can continue chatting there?"

Lips parting, Sonoko suddenly stopped. Now that she thought about it, she couldn't remember a time when Shinichi and Subaru had been in the same room. The only time they were ever close to meeting when during the paper airplane case, but Ran had been on the phone with her boyfriend the entire time. Huh, she thought that Shinichi would have snuck home for a little while and discovered someone else living in his house, but maybe he has been busy on a case.

"Coffee? Yeah, sure! Alright. Since you're back in town, why don't I treat you?"

It was a bit of a bummer that she hadn't really bought anything, but it wasn't like there was anything here that would look good on her. If she were going to spend her money on anything, it might as well be on coffee with good company like Yukiko.

"You're very kind! You really don't have to, you know!" Yukiko beamed at her offer, it came to her as a surprise as the retired actress was normally used to being the one to make such an offer. Was this a taste of her own medicine from the kids? She was actually in the midst of considering on paying for Sonoko's order, but it seemed that Sonoko beat her to the punch!

"How'd you get here, Sonoko-chan? Do you need a lift? My car's right outside, but I need to pay for these." She held up her dress and the shoebox, gesturing towards the cash register so that she could make a payment. Considering that nobody was in line, Yukiko would gesture for Sonoko to follow if she didn't have to look at anything else.

Once she was at the cash register, Yukiko would take out her credit card and pay for the items. The retired actress was excited for this outing with Sonoko! Aside from their brief encounters when Ran was present, Yukiko couldn't quite recall actually sitting down and chatting with her best friend. Perhaps they'd get to learn a little more about each other through this?
